A service which did the Royal Air Force proud

Here in Morecambe on Easter 1 April 2018 we celebrated RAF100 in two ways: at 2 pm a flower bed was unveiled and in the summer this will be replaced by a new flower arrangement showing the RAF 100 motto.  These flowers will last three years.  Then at 4pm a Church Service took place in St Barnabas Parish Church to thank God for the years over which He watched over the RAF and our nation.

Present were: High Sheriff of Lancashire, Mr Robert Webb and his lady wife Carole, Mayor and Mayoress of Lancaster, Councillor Roger Mace and his lady wife Joyce, Mayor of Carnforth, Councillor Pat Wooff, Lancaster City, Carnforth and Morecambe Town Councillors Wg Cdr Steve Molloy, Officer Commanding Cumbria & Lancashire Wing Air Cadets.  Reverend Group Captain Richard Lee RAF, Northern Region Chaplain for the RAF Air Cadets presided over this Anniversary Service.  These shots provide a taste of what was a very well attended and enjoyed service with more in the News Shots page:
