RAF Museum at Cosford visit much appreciated
Thirty Branch members and friends went on a coach trip to the RAF Museum at Cosford on 1stAugust. Despite the long journey (lots of road works and hold-ups!) there was plenty of time for a good look around. For some it was a return visit, for others a new one, but all enjoyed themselves. The Chairman re-acquainted himself with Vulcan XM598, one of the eight that he saw into service at RAF Coningsby in 1962 – if you would like to hear more about this and other aspects of the Chairman's RAF career, come along to his talk on Tuesday 14thAugust – see Talk Posters page for details. Pictures of the visit are presented in the News Shots Page, and there you can see the Chairman contented that this Vulcan was attached to the roof and could give no more maintenance problems!
